Before I start editing, I make sure to have a good image work flow: I always save all originals in a separate place online (cloud server) to prevent you from losing, damaging or destroying the original image. Images are then edited with care, including Brightness and Contrast (to increase or decrease the relationship between brights and darks, Saturation (increase the color of an image), and white balance (color temperature adjustments) .
